"Times Of Glory"
30" x 40", oil

To the plains Indian the buffalo (or bison) was the very essence of nomadic life. The buffalo meat provided food, the hide was used in clothing, blankets and the covering of their tipis.  Bone provided tools, sinew became thread and hair was woven into rope and bridles.

This was a glorious and plentiful time for the plains Indian -- a way of life that was soon to be changed by the incursion of the white man.
