What are Giclee Canvas prints?
A gicleé print begins with a digital file taken from a transparency or captured directly from the original painting.
It is checked for accurate color (hue, saturation, brightness) and sharpness. Next, the file is sent to a state-of-the-art, large-format inkjet printer. Millions of microscopic droplets of archival pigmented ink are sprayed onto a specially prepared canvas producing a vibrant image that is faithful to the original painting. Each print is protected with a UV block coating to ensure maximum longevity of the image.
Prints have a 3” white border of canvas to allow your framer to stretch them on artists’ stretcher bars. All prints are shipped rolled in a tube.
